Breaking Boundaries

What we offer

The barrier removed. The standard raised.

Breaking Boundaries surrounds young people with the support structure they need to grow — access, coaching, mentorship, wellbeing, safe culture, leadership and future pathways.

Breaking Boundaries is designed to remove barriers without lowering standards. We create access, but we also create structure. Young people are supported through sport, mentorship, wellbeing, education, leadership and future-facing opportunities.

The goal is not simply participation. The goal is development.

The development ecosystem.

Every layer exists for a reason. Remove the barrier, then raise the standard.

01

Access

Removing cost, confidence and entry barriers so young people can step into opportunity.

02

Sport & Coaching

Structured athletic development using ice hockey as the primary entry point.

03

Equipment Support

Fitting guidance, access support and sponsor-driven equipment solutions where available.

04

Mentorship

Positive adults walking alongside young people with consistency, accountability and belief.

05

Wellbeing, Fitness & Nutrition

Stronger habits, physical confidence, conditioning, nutrition awareness and recovery education.

06

Anti-Bullying & Safe Culture

Environments where respect, accountability, inclusion and positive intervention are expected.

07

Leadership & Life Skills

Discipline, responsibility, communication, teamwork and decision-making.

08

Career Pathways

Exposure to work-readiness, recruitment guidance, financial-industry learning, refereeing, coaching and other future opportunities.

Support that moves with them.

A young person's needs change as they grow. The support around them should grow too. Breaking Boundaries meets participants at different stages — from first exposure, to confidence, to development, to leadership, to future opportunity.

  1. 01

    First Exposure

    A safe, welcoming introduction.

  2. 02

    Confidence

    Belonging, encouragement and early wins.

  3. 03

    Development

    Coaching, habits, structure and accountability.

  4. 04

    Leadership

    Responsibility, teamwork and positive influence.

  5. 05

    Future Pathways

Recruitment, refereeing, coaching, work-readiness and career exposure.

What this looks like in practice.

A child who has never played before

A safe introduction, guidance, confidence and a pathway to begin.

A teenager who needs structure

Coaching, accountability, mentorship and leadership expectations.

A young person needing direction

Exposure to work-readiness, recruitment guidance, refereeing, coaching and career pathways.

A family facing barriers

Support through access, information, equipment guidance and a structured environment.

Built around the whole person.

Talent is only one part of development.

Young people need structure, safety, belief, discipline, health, guidance and opportunity. Breaking Boundaries brings these layers together so the person grows, not only the player.

Mission

Not just hockey.

Hockey is the doorway. Development is the destination.

Ice hockey gives us a powerful entry point. It teaches discipline, courage, teamwork and resilience. But the mission goes further than the rink — helping young people build confidence, responsibility, healthy habits, safe relationships and pathways into the future.

Help build the support system.

Whether you want to volunteer, partner, donate or introduce a young person to the pathway, there is a place to step in.
