Who can join Silverbacks?
Boys and girls from age 4, complete beginners welcome. Adult learn-to-play is open from age 20+.
Do I need experience?
No. Beginners are welcome. Players are placed into appropriate age, experience, skill and development zones.
Where do you train?
Festival Mall Ice Rink, Kempton Park. Junior training Mondays 18:00–19:00, Adult training Mondays 19:00–20:00.
What does it cost?
R750/month, R500 annual registration, R100 per game. First two trial sessions are free.
What about equipment?
Full approved protective equipment is compulsory. Skates and selected introductory equipment may be available. Equipment-loan, rental and sponsorship pathways are being developed.
When is the introductory camp?
14 September 2026. Formal programme launch: 1 February 2027.
Who coaches the Girls Youth Programme?
A female coach. Silverbacks has confirmed a three-coach development team. Names and profiles will be announced shortly.
